To live and work in North Macedonia, international employees must secure a Type D visa and a temporary residence permit. Non-nationals can also stay and work in the country for up to 90 days with an employment certificate.
When applying for a North Macedonia visa, the following documents are required:

- A valid passport
- Travel Insurance
- A notarized invitation letter (if applicable)
- Proof of financial means
Visas can be obtained from the nearest embassy, consulate, or visa centre in your home country. Upon arrival in North Macedonia, you must register with the local police within 48 hours.
